If you build a website with us, we’ll already have included an Information Architecture workshop (as well as possibly a Digital Strategy Workshop) in the price of your project, because it is a core part of our process and ensures that we can get started with all of the information we require to build something amazing.

Information Architecture Workshop
Have you ever tried your hand at woodworking? There’s a common saying in the workshop – measure twice, cut once. The same thing applies when you’re building a (good) website. Do the preparation before you start building, and you won’t have to redo everything from scratch in six months time when you realise you forgot something really important! Information architecture is our speciality, and we love working with our clients to help them identify, sort and present their information in a user-friendly way. To give you an idea of what this workshop includes:
- Identifying your user avatars and their goals with empathy mapping
- Content brainstorm session to get stuff out of your head and on to paper
- Card Sorting exercise to start grouping and organising information
- User testing* process to help you refine your blueprint
- Finalised Site Map
- Home Page Wireframe**
* Depending on the length of your workshop and the number of participants, we may only get through one iteration of user testing. Following your workshop we will however provide instructions on how to effectively conduct (and implement) further user testing.
** Generally the home page wireframe will only be completed in 3+ hour workshops, due to time limitations. If this is a priority, you may need to complete some homework before your workshop to ensure we have enough time to complete this!
While we have a structure and plan for this workshop, each one is customised based on the needs of our client. This workshop can take anywhere from 2 – 4 hours, depending on the number of participants, how prepared you are, the complexity of your organisation/business and any interruptions. Online Strategy Workshop
We are often approached by businesses and organisations who claim they need a website (or need to upgrade their existing website). Our response to this is always one simple word… Why?
If you don’t know the answer to that one word question, you probably aren’t ready to invest in a new website. Fortunately, we have a roadmap to help get you there and an amazing facilitator to help you do it.

- User journey map – tracking likely paths your users will take to and from your website*
- Attract, Capture, Nurture, Convert campaign plan**
- Integration & Automation plan to work out how to best utilise your online presence
- Website Preparation Checklist to help you progress to phase 2!
* Creating a comprehensive user journey map is a lot harder without access to analytics or statistics about those users. If your business or organisation is relatively new and you don’t have these, we’ll instead help you identify some metrics that you can use to find this information for future campaign development & refinement.
** The amount of detail we go into in this step will depend on the length of your workshop, the amount of preparation you’ve already done, how many participants we have and the complexity of your audience – and we may skip this step if it isn’t relevant to your organisation!
