She Codes Plus Event Scholarship

In Tech[+], people are everything.

That’s why we’ve partnered with some of our favourite organisations to help seven She Codes students come along to the 2025 WiTWA Tech[+] Conference and Awards.

Who Is Eligible?

To be eligible for a sponsored ticket, you must:

  1. Be a current student in the She Codes Plus Perth cohort
  2. Not be eligible for your ticket to be sponsored by your workplace
  3. Be able to attend your selected event
  4. Not already have a ticket for your selected event
  5. Complete the form below by no later than midnight, Sunday 26th October

We have a total of seven tickets (2 for conference + 5 for awards) to share with the cohort, and to give the most number of students the opportunity to build their network we will be giving each of the tickets to different individuals. The successful recipients will be notified by slack.

Please note that to give as many students as possible the opportunity to build their network, the Mission Digital Scholarship will only cover EITHER a Conference, or an awards ticket, for an individual (but not both).

FAQs

Who funds these tickets?

One of these tickets is directly funded by Raft of Pitches podcast host Ricki Barnes, a long term mentor for the She Codes community. The other six tickets are provided to WiTWA for use by House Digital as recognition for the support we provide them as part of our Mission Digital program.

Who will I be sitting with if I get a ticket?

Conference ticket recipients will be sitting at the House Digital table, accompanied by representatives from House Digital/She Codes. Awards recipients will be seated with at least one other scholarship ticket holder (so you won’t be alone!) and will be placed at a table with industry representatives to give you the most opportunity to network. Unfortunately, recipients will not be able to request to be seated at a specific table.

I already have a ticket. Can I still apply and then get reimbursed for my current ticket if I’m successful, or sell it to someone else?

No, sorry. We really want to give the opportunity to attend to people who would otherwise not be able to attend. If you’ve already got a ticket (even if you paid for it yourself) that means you already do have the chance to attend. If you have already purchased a ticket for one event (e.g. conference) you are still welcome to apply for a ticket for the other event (e.g. awards).

Who will choose the recipients?

Successful recipients will be selected by She Codes founder Kate Kirwin, House Digital founder Jo Minney, and Raft of Bitches producer Ricki Barnes.
